Coming to a PC near you in a couple of decades

We've heard many whispers of a famous developer picking up on the shards of long awaited sequel to Duke Nukem’s saga, but this time it’s not about Duke Nukem 4Ever. The legal war between Take-Two and 3D Realms took many a complicated turn and now has resulted in some documents revealing a sequel named Duke Nukem Begins.

The legal documents from Take-Two and 3D Realms’ dispute over Duke Nukem 4Ever development which is obviously taking forever, have surfaced revealing that Duke Nukem Begins will be developed by a third party developer which is now Gearbox, the famous developer behind games such as Brothers in Arms, Borderlands, etc. 3D Realms even accepted a $2.5 million in advance to help fudn the Duke Forever, as a part of the same deal from 2007.

Take-Two confirmed that Duke Nukem Begins game was put on hold but not cancelled, which seems to be the case with anything with Duke title on it this past decade or so. As for the unfortunate Duke Nukem 4Ever, it remains to be a modern legend/fairytale and will be done -”when it’s done”. Pity, we really thought it’ll be out real soon.(Sure we did. sub.ed.)
