The sales numbers for the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft continue to grow. The latest figures are staggering. 4J Studios, the developer of the Xbox 360 version, confirmed on its Twitter feed that the Xbox 360 version of the game has now passed over 4 million in sales.
The 4 million in sales number translates into 27,000 copies of the title that have been purchased since it was released on Xbox Live Arcade back on May 9th. The numbers just continue to grow, which has even surprised some who would have thought by now that the Xbox 360 version would see sales dropping off.
It is hard to know if there is any end in sight. No one seems to want to predict how many copies of the game will be sold before it is all said and done. It would seem that gold has been struck with the Xbox 360 version, and this only encourages more people to buy as their friends and family purchase a copy.
