In addition to the new budget-oriented G-series gaming notebooks, Dell has also updated its quite popular XPS 15 notebook with new Intel 8th generation Core Coffee Lake CPUs, including the six-core Core i9-8950HK.

The Dell XPS 15 does not need any introduction as this highly configurable notebook, which is also one of the smallest and lightest performance notebooks, packs quite a punch in a 14-inch size notebook with 15.6-inch InfinityEdge display. In case you missed it, it uses a CNC machined aluminum chassis with carbon fiber composite palm rest.

Not to be mistaken with the recently launched Dell XPS 15 2-in-1, the Dell XPS 15 will be available with Intel's latest 6-core 8th generation Core Coffee Lake CPUs and up to Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card.

The Dell XPS 15 (9570) is a highly configurable notebook so it will be available with either a 15.6-inch FHD (1920x1080) InfinityEdge IPS anti-glare display, offering 100% sRGB, 1200:1 contrast ratio, 400-nits of brightness, and 178-degree viewing angles,  or a more high-end 15.6-inch UltraSharp 4K/UHD (3840x2160) InfinityEdge anti-reflective touchscreen with 100% Adobe RGB and 1500:1 contrast ratio.

It also comes with a wide choise of Intel CPUs, including the Core i5-8300H Processor (8MB cache, up to 4.0GHz), Core i7-8750H Processor (9MB cache, up to 4.1GHz) or the high-end Core i9-8950HK (12M cache, up to 4.8GHz), up to 32GB of DDR4-2666 memory in two SO-DIMM slots, Intel UHD 630 IGP as a standard, Nvidia GTX 1050 or GTX 1050 Ti as an option, plenty of storage options including 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD, 256GB PCIe NMVe SSD, 1TB solid state hybrid drive, 512GB PCIe NMVe SSD or 1TB PCIe NMVe SSD, and more. Unfortunately, it appears that the GTX 1060 with Max-Q is not going to be available in the XPS 15.

It also has a full size backlit chiclet keyboard, precision touchpad, optional Windows Hello fingerprint reader in power button, Killer 1535 802.11ac 2x2 and Bluetooth 4.1, stereo speakers, 720p HD webcam with dual-array microphones and either a 56WHr or 97Whr built-in battery (offering up to 21.5 hours of battery life).

The Dell XPS 15 will start at $999.99 and will be available in May 2018, with pre-order of limited configuration expected on April 16th.
