13.4-incher in two flavours

MSI has officially unveiled its anorexic X340 series 13.4-inch notebooks. Both are based on Intel's GS45+ICH9M chipset and the difference is in the CPU as one will come with Intel's Core 2 Solo CULV SU3500 and the other has Intel's Celeron CULV 723 CPU.

Both will have Intel's GMA 4500MDH integrated graphics while the rest of the specs include 2GB of DDR2 memory, 802.11b/g/n wireless, Gb LAN, Bluetooth V2.0 EDR, two USB 2.0 ports, card reader and a 13.4-inch 1,366x768 display. Both models will feature HDMI and D-Sub outputs and will have a 4 cell battery. Another difference is that the Intel Celeron CULV 723 based one will have 250GB hard drive while the Intel Core 2 Solo CULV SU3500 based one will come with a beefier 320GB hard drive.

Both SKUs weigh in at 1.3kg with a 4-cell battery and have the same 224x330x6-19.8mm dimensions. According to previous information the 8-cell battery will be available as an option. The X340Pro with Core 2 Solo SU3500 is already listed with a starting price of €899 and we hope that the Celeron based one will have a much lower price.
