Sony said it will launch four new Blu Ray recorders in November.

Unlike the previous generation, the new models can record on dual layer discs and store up to 16 hours of HD content on a 50GB disc.

The BDZ-T50 has a 250GB hard drive, two analog TV tuners and 1080p24 output. The BDZ-T70 and BDZ-L70 ship with a 320GB drive and two additional digital TV tuners. HDMI output is 1080p24 and the HDMI connector on the T70 is gold plated.

Sony's high end BDZ-X90 has a 500GB disk, two digital and two analog TV tuners and gold plated HDMI 1080p60 and p24 output. The X90 will retail at an uncomfortable $1,752 and all models are expected to hit the Japanese market on November 8.
