Cebit 2010: Small but feature packed IPC-AM3DD785G MB

Sapphire
has a new IPC-AM3DD785G ITX board that aims at embedded applications and mini PCs builders. It is an AMD socket AM3 board with DDR3 support and it can deal with CPUs rated at up to 65W TDP. The board has all the facilities of a full-sized mainboard and yet comes in a tiny 17x17cm format and features dual DDR3 memory slots and a PCI-Express 16-lane expansion slot.

The AMD 785 chipset includes integrated graphics equivalent to the HD 4200 series, with DirectX 10.1 support. This small board has integrated UVD 2.0 (Universal Video Decoder) for on-board decoding of HD-DVD and Blu-ray content. The video decode engine supports decoding multiple HD streams (useful for picture-in-picture on a Blu-ray movie) and ability to perform detail enhancements on the fly.

The SAPPHIRE IPC-AM3DD785G ITX board features extensive connectivity, including up to 10 USB, 4 SATA and IDE, Gigabit LAN, 6-channel audio and SPDIF as well as VGA and HDMI video outputs.

It is clearly a very appealing board for HTPC enthusiasts.
