A new first for a gaming title

It seems that what you can do with Twitter just keeps on growing. Bizarre Creations, perhaps best known for their work on the Project Gotham Racing series, has apparently decided to take Twitter to new places with news that it will be adding Twitter support from within their upcoming new racing title called Blur.

From what we have been able to dig up, apparently Blur includes a Twitter interface within the racing title that allows players to Tweet from within the game. This will allow players to share their Blur exploits as well as issue Blur challenges to their Twitter followers.

Bizarre Creations is said to be pitching the concept that Blur is the future of racing games and adding Twitter support is just another step to delivering on that next-generation experience. A Blur multi-player demo is said to be on the slate for next month, but all of the details have not come to light yet. We are not sure what to make of a racing title that offers Twitter support. At least for us, we are just not sure that it is something that we actually thought a racing game needed.
