Winona Ryder implicated

A US
bloke is suing Blizzard over its World of Warcraft game. We are not expecting Erik Estavillo's suit to go anywhere about it makes for amusing reading on a Thursday Morning.

Estavillo claims that Blizzard maintains a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow World of Warcraft's “sneaky and deceitful practices". The sneaky and deceitful practices involved is walking. Estavillo claims it takes too long to get from one point to the other in the game world.

Hear him out. Estavillo claims that the slow walking is all part of a cunning plan to fleece people out of cash by forcing them to buy an expansion pack to speed things up. We are not sure if this is linked to walking but Estavillow claims that he is suffering from health problems as a result of playing the game. These include OCD, agoraphobia, depression and Crohn's Disease. He thinks he might top himself at any moment, just like Shawn Woolley, an Everquest player who committed suicide in 2001.

To back up his claims Estavillo has subpoenaed Winona Ryder and Martin Lee Gore, of Depeche Mode. What these two are going to do about it is anyone's guess. Depeche Mode do write somewhat depressing songs and Winona Ryder would be fun to meet.
