Single 12V rail with 78Amps

Corsair has decided to refresh its TX series PSU line-up with another model, the TX950W. The new 950W unit is also one of the most powerful PSUs that came out from this company, with the exception of the highly praised modular HX1000W. The new TX950W features the same 85% efficiency rating which is enough for the 80Plus Bronze certification and the same single +12V rail design.

The new TX950W is a non-modular PSU with 950W of continuous power and has ATX12V 2.3 and EPS12V 2.91 support. The single +12V rail is capable of delivering 78Amps of power, which sums up to a total of 936W for the 12V rail. It has a 140mm fan, an eye-catching yellow sticker and comes backed by a five-year warranty.  The new TX950W PSU features a total of six 6+2-pin PCI-Express connectors, as well as, twelve SATA, eight 4-pin Molex and two Floppy power connectors.

The new TX950W should be available soon considering the fact that a bunch of retailers/e-tailers already listed it for pre-order with a price tag of around €125 / US $185.
