LG has joined the nettop crowd with a tiny ION-based design, the Xpion X30.
Design wise it's very similar to Asus' EeePC, and like recent Eee SKUs
it packs Nvidia's HD-friendly ION chipset. Like the EeePC it ships with
a VESA monitor mounting bracket, and it's powered by an Atom N270 with
2GB of memory. It features a 250GB hard drive, and like most ION
nettops, this is where it misses the point, as 250GB is simply not
enough for a media oriented device with HD support.
However, unlike an Eee it has six USBs, making it quite a bit more
practical. We're guessing it has HDMI, as it would be rather pointless
without it. There's still no word on pricing, but it will probably end
up in the €220 to €250 price range.
