720p support and a 3D UI

Nvidia
has officially confirmed another Tegra design win. As rumoured, Samsung will use Nvidia's chip in its new M1 portable media player.

The M1 should ship later this month, and Nvidia claims it can handle 720p HD, as well as some 3D games. Samsung developed a 3D user interface for the new player, using Nvidia's graphics muscle. Nvidia's Tegra is also being used by Microsoft for its new Zune HD PMP.

Nvidia also used the opportunity to boast another ION design win, in Samsung's 11.6-inch N510 netbook we wrote about several weeks back, here.
