How about this shocker? Our moles in the land of fruit are insisting that with the release of iTunes 9 Apple will be adding at least some 3rd party device support for non-Apple devices.

Our moles were not exactly clear as to what devices might be able to sync with iTunes 9 and what kind of content they might be able to get, or in what format it might be delivered to 3rd party devices.

What we do know is that if Apple is offering unprotected music files, it could open up the iTunes store to other devices, which translates into a new revenue stream.
