Spam centre of the world

Security vendor Network Box claims that more than 40 percent of malicious software worldwide originated from Beijing.

According to a press release Network Box said that the figure had nearly doubled since May.

The next worse in the Malware stakes was Wattleup, Australia, which manages to create 3.7 percent of the world's spam despite having a population of only 1382. Madrid in Spain manages 2.5 percent.

The percentage is calculated from event logs transmitted by about 700 customers using Network Box's security appliance.
