Cheaper home surveillance in the UK

D-Link has unveiled two new HD wi-fi cameras that provide what it claims is top quality professional home surveillance at an affordable price – the DCS-8000LH Mini HD Wi-Fi Camera and DCS-8100LH HD 180 Degree Wi-Fi Camera.

The pricing is rather good for what the cameras are supposed to do. The DCS-8000LH is £49.99 while the DCS-8100LH will be available for £106.66

The cameras include on-board wi-fi which provides the range and bandwidth needed for 720P HD video streaming, while remaining compatible with older wireless devices, enabling users to maximise investments made in existing solutions.

Both cameras are compatible with the mydlink Lite app and corresponding website. This means that the owner can use high-quality 720p HD resolution video streaming to their mobile device, along with some embedded security features such as motion and sound detection that can send alerts to the users' phone and trigger video recording, for maximum security.

Night-time monitoring is available through the built-in IR LEDs, and the cameras can provide 24/7 monitoring capabilities within their home or small office.

Both cameras make, D-Link claims, the ideal choice for any home or small office, giving users a high-quality security system that is reliable at an affordable price point.

The DCS-8000LH Mini HD Wi-Fi Camera & DCS-8100LH HD 180 Degree Wi-Fi Camera are both currently available.
