Belinea, a German vendor known for its cheap monitors and netbooks, has launched its first netbook, the Belinea b.book 1xs.
Not much to say about the specs, you can probably guess them by now, but here they are anyway: Atom N270, 945 chipset, 1GB of memory. It ships with a 3-cell battery, but unlike other 3-celled netbooks, it weighs 1.3kg, and should probably cut down on sausages and beer at Oktoberfest.
The b.book 1xs doesn't look bad, but it's no beauty either, just a plain workhorse. Judging by the pictures, Belinea went for a rough, matte finish which should help fend off those nasty fingerprints and stains.
The Linux version is currently listed at €329, and costs as much as a similarly speced Wind, or a Lenovo S10 with 1536MB of memory, both Linux flavored, of course.
