For MasterWatt Maker 1200/1500 PSU MCU access

Cooler Master has teamed up with Overlay.live, an online platform for broadcasters, to provide a solution which will allow users to access and customize data coming from the MCU on the MasterWatt Maker PSUs.

In case you missed it, Cooler Master's MasterWatt Maker 1200W and MasterWatt Maker 1500W 80 PLUS Titanium digital PSUs also come with a serial port which lets it  communicate with other devices, like a Bluetooth dongle or a Raspberry Pi system.

In order to get the most out of this system, Cooler Master has teamed up with Overlay.live to create a solution to allow allow users to access and customize data coming from the microcontroller (MCU) on these PSUs.

The cooperation between Cooler Master and Overlay.live began back in June at the Computex 2017 show and with a connection to the overclocking community, this quickly grew into a working solution which is now an open source project. In short, users will be able to pull power and voltage outputs, temperatures and all other data from the PSU, which is a neat feature.

The library files and instructions needed to tap into MasterWatt Maker Digital PSU MCU can be found on GitHub and we are certainly looking forward to see what will come out of this project.

You can check out more details about Overlay software on MasterWatt Maker Digital PSU over at Overlay.live site.
