Asus has a lot to show

Asus has a lot to show on CeBIT, not just many products, but a large variety of products. There will be some new notebooks, LCD monitors, of course graphic cards and some other exclusive products like their external graphic card.

Let's start with notebooks. Three of them will be worth of CeBit.

The first one is Asus W5Fe, as the world's first SideShow notebook. It has external screen that should integrate well with Vista. We use to know SideShow as Portal player.

The second one is, what I like to call, "fashion" model. Everybody is doing it so why should ASUS. It's a new notebook in their Lamborghini line with a code name VX2. It is based on the latest Intel Centrino platform, and a 15.4 inch high resolution glare-type and high brightness widescreen. As we know it should be powered with Nvidia GeForce Go7700 with 512MB memory.

The third little thing is a Asus U1F. It is a powerful Vista Business notebook squeezed into a chassis less than 1kg in weight. It has a 11.1 inch widescreen, that has a special LED backlight panel that operates with lower power consumption. For such a lightweight notebook special materials needed to be used like, magnesium-aluminium alloy and carbon fibre alloy.

Time for some displays screens. Asus plans to present two.

The LS201 20 inch LCD monitor that provides slim elegance. The display has a jewel-class glass for both aesthetical and protective reasons, so it won't be scratched ever again. It has a contrast ratio of 2000:1.

The other one is more interesting, of course becouse it supports HDCP function with DVI input. It is a 22 inch widescreen with a 16:10 screen ratio, and it has a fast 2ms Response Time.

Most interesting things come last.

The first of them is ASUS OC Gear wich is a interesting device for computer enthusiasts. It is a real-time overclocking device for graphics cards. It displays graphic card information like GPU temperature and the current FPS. And with a little spin you can adjust GPU speed and GPU fan speed.

Next in line is a notebook users wet dream, external graphic card. On CeBIT, Asus will be hosting a public demonstration of XG Station. It is equipped with Express Card interface, USB 2.0 and Dolby Headphone.

For the graphic cards, there is a top of the line ASUS EN8800GTX AquaTank with 768 MB of memory. Special thing is that its water cooled and according to Asus it is able to push performance up by 11% and still be 12°C cooler than generic GF8800GTX cards.

Asus will also have a lot of "Designed for Vista" motherboards. One thing is sure, the Asus show on CeBIT will be a shame to miss. We are on our way there.
