Powercolor, which is known for its high-end custom AMD Radeon graphics cards, came to Computex 2015 show with a rather interesting new product, the Devil HDX PCI-Express sound card.

Based on C-Media CMI8888 audio processor paired up with Wolfson WM8741 DAC and PCI-Express interface, the new Powercolor Devil HDX 7.1-channel sound card offers 124dB SNR over RCA out and 120dB over dedicated 6.3mm headphone output.

The Devil HDX has a frequency response of 20Hz to 20KHz, and provides plenty of output connectors, including aforementioned 6.3mm headphone output with amplifier, two RCA jacks, one coaxial and one optical output. It also comes with a dedicated mutli-channel connector for the daughter-board which offers single 3.5mm mic-in and four 3.5mm analog outputs. It also needs a single 4-pin molex connector for power.

Unfortunately, Powercolor did not reveal any details regarding the price or the precise availability date for the new Devil HDX, but we are sure we will see it soon on retail/e-tail shelves.
