Sony Ericsson has denied rumours that its first mobile phone powered by Microsoft's operating system will miss the key holiday sales period.
SE's Xperia 1 model was unveiled in February with Sony Ericsson saying it would start to sell the phone in the second half of 2008. Introducing new phones more than six months ahead of sales is uncommon so it was seen as a done deal.
However the dark satanic rumour mill has been churning out news that there are delays in product rollout, quoting rumors and unnamed sources at Sony Ericsson.
Now Sony Ericsson spokeswoman Merran Wrigley has come out and said that there is absolutely no delay and the rumours are all a figment of a tech-writer's imagination. She added that she said that it will roll out in Q4, and Sony Ericsson was on target to do that.
