UK telcos are facing some stiff competition from supermarkets. Not content with issuing their own tablets, Tesco announced plans to offer its own 4G service.

Dubbed Flexibend Tesco Mobile's 4G tariffs start from £10 a month, depending on which handset you choose. This sees the mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) undercutting rivals EE and Vodafone.

Existing Tesco Mobile customers looking to try out 4G can add it onto their present tariff from £2.50 per month, the network also announced, and said that this add-on can be removed at any time if a user is not satisfied.

Simon Groves, CMO at Tesco Mobile said, "4G is amazing and will revolutionise the way we use our mobile phones so of course we want to make it accessible and easy for all our customers to try and enjoy it.
