Of sorts

While searching for something Eee PC related, we stumbled upon a company that seemed to be selling the Eee PC 1000H and who will ship it worldwide, for a rather expensive £359.99/€457/$709, but it turns out that the company ships the units from Taiwan to wherever you may live. They stock both the black and white versions and they even have the 901 in stock for £319.99/€407/$631.

The price does, of course, not include the delivery charge, which is an additional £25.99/€33/$51, but interestingly they claim that there's no need to pay any tax on top of this price, which we're not too sure about, as we're sure that the customs office in your country might have something else to say about this.

Delivery time is meant to take about five working days, which sounds pretty good, actually, that's better than many local companies we've dealt with. However, before you order anything, we suggest you have a look at their FAQ.

"How about Customs Duty Tax? You do not always get charge of Customs Duty Tax, from past experience; at least 95% of our customers don't get charge. However in an unlikely situation you do get charge, it is not our responsibility to cover it for you, by law, you do have to pay for them and we will not accept refund if this occur."

Sounds dodgy to us, but if you want to chance it, then you can place your order here.
