MSI Wind desktop PC draws 30W

Small and power efficient

During a press conference in Taipei, Taiwan today, MSI showed a live demo of its Wind PC, the desktop model, not the notebook; and it was drawing no more than 30W at load. Compare this to the "normal" desktop PC next to it, which was drawing 242W performing the same tasks right next to the Wind PC.

MSI also claims that the Wind PC will peak at 35W and produce less than 30dBA of noise. Considering that, the motherboard is passively cooled and the chassis is cooled by a single small fan. We've got more pictures and details of the Wind PC coming shortly, but for now you'll have to make do with the picture below.
