McAfee has heart attack in Guatemala

by on07 December 2012

Into his 25 day trial period

Software guru John McAfee, who is fighting deportation to Belize, has been rushed to the hospital in Guatemala after suffering two mild heart attacks.

McAfee was carried out on a stretcher from an immigration service cottage where he was detained after crossing illegally into Guatemala from neighbouring Belize. Belize coppers want a word with him about his neighbour's murder. The 67-year-old US software pioneer's hospitalisation came after Guatemala denied a request for asylum. McAfee was apparently found lying on the ground, unable to move his body or speak. Guatemala's foreign minister, Harold Caballeros, said McAfee's request for asylum was rejected.

Meanwhile there are rumours that Intel is thinking of abandoning the McAfee brand name because no one wants their product associated with someone who is claimed to be an elderly paranoid drugs user who cavorts with 20 year-olds and whose neighbours end up with bullets in the back of their head. Actually… that is exactly what I expect from a virus checker.
