Microsoft showcases new 360 titles
Banjo-Kazooie & Viva Pinata sequels in development
Microsoft showcased upcoming titles today and perhaps the biggest announcement was the news that Banjo-Kazooie & Viva Pinata sequels are in development for the Xbox 360. This will be the first appearance of Banjo-Kazooie since his Nintendo 64 days, and the game is tentatively titled Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.
Viva Pinata will make a return, as well, with a new title called Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise. The new sequel will feature many new things that were not in the original Viva Pinata game, such as co-op and Xbox Live mode for multi-player gaming.
One of the strangest concepts is the ability to introduce new species to the game via the Xbox Live Camera. Microsoft says that the game is targeted for a September release.
Additional titles announced included Lionhead's Fable 2; Silicon Knights' online co-op playable action RPG, Too Human; Tecmo's Ninja Gaiden II; and Xbox Live Arcade adventure Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One.
Many were more interested in the first videos of game play of Gears of War 2 since the title was announced.
