High-speed SSD for notebooks

Super Talent has announced a new line of MasterDrive SSDs that are 100% interchangeable with regular HDDs. Since we are talking about SSDs they are, of course, much faster, lighter and use less power than regular hard drives.

The new MarsterDrive SSDs uses a SATA (3Gbps) interface and come packed in a standard 2.5-inch form factor case. According to the press release, MasterDrive DX line uses SLC NAND flash chips which give read and write speeds of up to 120 and 70MB/s respectively. The cheaper MasterDrive MX line uses MLC flash chips which are capable of giving read/write speeds of 120 and 40MB/s.

The DX line is backed up with a three-year warranty, and the cheaper MX line is cursed with only a year of warranty. All models should be available immediately from NewEgg and eWiz. You can check out the prices and the complete offer below.
