Asrock outs Core 100HT series

The mother of all nettops
Asrock has offered quite a few attractive and affordable nettops in the past, but this time around the outfit has come up with something quite a bit more interesting.

The Core 100HT series retains the familiar and rather dull design, but under the bonnet it packs some rather impressive silicon. As the name implies, it supports Intel Core series processors and the first models to show up feature the Core i3 330M, clocked at 2.13GHz. This is a far cry from run of the mill Atoms, but the feature list does not end there.

The 100HT also packs 4GB of DDR3 SO-DIMM, 500GB of storage and an optional Blu-ray drive. Two USB 3.0 ports are on board as well, making it the first nettop with USB 3.0 support. Last but not least, it ships with a remote control. Measuring just 195x70x186mm, it can fit behind any TV without much fuss.

However, all this comes at a price, a rather hefty price indeed. The Blu-ray version is currently listed at around €600, which is a tad too high for any nettop.

You can get it here.
