We were amazed when we learned that Henry Richard, ex Vice President of AMD, who also went to Freescale Semiconductor, went for a position on Asetek's Board of Directors. We've been following his career for quite some time, as you can see below.
Asetek is a highly successful company which based its businesses around water cooling and phase change cooling. HP's latest gaming machine, the Blackbird 002, has one of Asetek's LCLC water coolers inside.
As Executive Vice President and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at AMD, Henry has made many contacts and he can probably bring a lot of business to Danish company Asetek. André Sloth Eriksen, the CEO of the company, is about to move to the U.S., as this is where the business is.
We also heard that Henry is helping out with his big Rolodex, he helps make decisions, market/product strategies and this is what this new business needs.
Henry probably gets a nice fat check for his services, but he probably deserves one. You can check the link and see his face here.
