Apple
has released an update for its iMac computer that fixes a problem with the computer freezing.

In a press release, the company said that the update is recommended for 20-inch and 24-inch iMac models with 2.0 2.4, or 2.8GHz processors. Both iMac Software Update 1.3 (Leopard) and iMac Software Update 1.2 (Tiger) are available from Apple’s Web site.

The problem of screen freezes was caused by a software update that Apple had issued. The company admitted that there was a problem in early October ,which made the iMac unusable without a hard reset. Apple wants customers to install the update via the Software Update mechanism or the download link.
