The Chinese language website Expreview has scored a picture of the BR04 revision of the upcoming 780i chipset from Nvidia, which looks like it should be able to take on the X38 and then some.

According to the information on the site, this new chipset should have PCI Express 2.0 support as well as three-way SLI as some of its main features.

Aparently the chip can do two x16, four x8 or one x16 and two x8 PCI Express configurations  which could make it an interesting choice for several different platforms and not just exclusive for gaming systems.
