Apple's sorry to early adopters costs $100 million

Accounts analysts think that Apple's apology to the early adopters of its iPhone will cost the company $100 million.

CEO Steve Jobs apologized to the people who queued for days to be the first to get an iPhone after dropping the price by $200.

He offered $100 vouchers for those who bought the iPhone which will be redeemable for Apple products. The offer was made after a storm of protests from loyal fans who bought the iPhone early. Last week this got lots of television reporting which Apple being cast as the bad guy.

UBS analyst Ben Reitzes said the cost of Apple's apology be $100 million this quarter, here.
