Second generation GDP daughter card

Sparkle has announced yet another card in its Calibre card; this time it is based on Geforce 8800 GT GPU. It just wouldn't be a Calibre series if it doesn't feature non-reference cooling and factory overclocked settings.

According to the press release, the new Calibre P888+ works at 675MHz for the core and 1,000MHz (2,000MHz effectively) for 512MB of GDDR3 memory. The card has 112 stream processors with the Shader clock set at 1,728MHz. The new unique feature is the second generation of Sparkle's Graphics Display Port (GDP) daughter card, branded GDP2. The second generation of GDP uses a back light LCD to show real time GPU temperature, GPU working voltage, fan speed and Calibre Logo. Of course, bear in mind that this is reserved for cases with open windows or open cases, and in any other scenario Calibre P888+ is just a factory overclocked card with a large cooling solution.

The dual slot, dual fan cooling solution will probably do a great job in cooling this GPU, at a cost of taking another slot.
