Opts for small but focused events

During its financial briefing, Nintendo revealed that it does not plan to host a big press event at the upcoming E3 Expo scheduled to open its doors on June 11th in Los Angeles.

Nintendo's President Satoru Iwata noted that the company decided not to go with the big event since there will not be any new hardware announcement and that it will rather host a few smaller events specifically focused on its software lineup for the US market. Different people demand different types of information, so Nintendo might actualy host two events, one for distributors and another one for the media.

While E3 Expo will be crowded by keynotes from Sony with its Playstation 4 and Microsoft with the next-generation Xbox, Nintendo decided not to go with a big keynote.
