Turn 10 to shift focus away from Forza 3

by on11 August 2010

More download content still to come, however
Our sources tell us that Forza Motorsport 3 developers Turn 10 Studios will be starting to move on to “their next big thing,” but they are not ready to tell us what that is yet. The news isn’t surprising, as we know that the studio has been working on a Kinect Forza title; but apparently they have also been quietly laying the ground work for something else, as well, that they have been planning in between DLC releases.

Speaking of downloadable content releases, Turn 10 is seemingly committed to churning out more of those, as well. The studio does plan to release more DLC content for Forza 3 yet this year, but they admit that the spacing between releases will not be as consistent as it has been. Still, more content will be released and more information on the next DLC release is expected in a few short weeks.

Just as a side note, Forza 3 has been one of the leaders in download content releases. Turn 10 has released seven car packs as well as a track pack since the title shipped. The seven car packs have included 60+ additional cars that have been added to the game. In addition, some free content has been gifted to players. That all adds up to a lot of content and it has become the benchmark by which we measure download content for titles these days.
