Sandisk's latest Sansa View MP3 player is powered by Nvidia's Goforce6100 mobile chip. This is a great victory for Nvidia as Sandisk is getting quite popular with its Sansa players.

The chip and the player support MPEG4, WMV, H.264 and all this gets played on a 2.4” TFT color screen with 320x240 resolution. Nvidia’s Goforce 6100 can also play H.264, WMV9/VC-1, and MPEG-4 at up to VGA resolution, 30fps and it should be part of some mobiles in 2008. It supports all network marchitecutures, including HSDPA and 3G and even upcoming Wimax, and this 250MHz core can support up to 10Mpixel camera.

The two versions of the Sansa View player are available are the 8GB that is selling for $149.99, and 16GB that is selling for a quite affordable $199.99. This new player has Nvidia’s video processor that takes care of audio, as well, and the player has a unique feature of micro SD slot for even more memory.
