Interoperability

Microsoft and Novell have opened a Lab in Cambridge to make sure that their software can work together.

The two companies' technical experts will design and test new software and work with customers and the community to build and support technologies that allow Microsoft Windows Server and SUSE Linux Enterprise to work better.

The first project involves setting up better interoperability between Microsoft and Novell virtualisation technologies. Additional work will include standards-based systems management, identity federation and compatibility of office document formats.
