As a result of Micron’s ramp up

Crucial has announced that it is now ampling DDR4 server memory via its new Technology Enablement Program which is aimed at channel partners currently developing and/or evaluating DDR4-capable platforms and provides early access to select Crucial DDR4 server mdules.

The Crucial Technology Enablement Program comes after the Micron’s recent announcement that it is ramping up its DDR4 production. Designed for next-generation enterprise enviroments, Crucial’s DDR4 server memory starts at 2133MT/s data rate and also doubles the memory bandwidth from 8.5GB/s to 17GB/s when used with Intel’s Xeon CPU E5-2600 V3 based systems. The new DDR4 server memory also uses 20 percent less voltage when compared to the DDR3 memory by operating at lower 1.2V instead of the 1.5V on the DDR3.
