5G behemoth coming this spring

It is obvious that Samsung is betting big on 5G and it is obviously big enough bet to make a dedicated flagship Galaxy S10 5G smartphone, featuring a bigger screen, beefier battery, and a four rear camera setup.

Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10, and the Galaxy S10e 

Samsung held its big Unpacked event in San Francisco and has unveiled quite a lot in about an hour and a half, more than anyone expected. With Galaxy Fold as the star of the show, a big part of the event was about the Galaxy S10 series, Samsung's bread and butter, and the series will be larger than ever, with a total of four different smartphones.

Two screens, six cameras, and Snapdragon 855 SoC

Although the Samsung Unpacked event was mostly focused on the Galaxy S10 series, Samsung has opened it up with the Galaxy Fold, a premium foldable smartphone featuring two screens, a total of six cameras, and a steep price of $1,980.

The format has fallen behind

Samsung is exiting the US Blu-ray player market saying that it is no longer making 4K players and halting production on new 1080p models.

$399 and a bit better than the $649 Samsung Galaxy Tab S4

While Apple has been following a policy of charging more for similar technology, Samsung appears to have been going the other way and is offering tech which in some ways beats its flagship and is much cheaper.

Official invitations are out

Samsung has officially confirmed its next big Unpacked event, which will be held on February 20th, in San Francisco, and although the invitation does not reveal a lot of details, it at least confirms the Galaxy 10 name.

Qualcomm RF front end too
