UL Solutions has announced that its upcoming 3DMark Steel Nomad benchmark will be free to all current 3DMark users, and it will come in two versions, Steel Nomad and Steel Nomad Light.

UL Solutions has announced that 3DMark, a quite popular benchmarking tool for gamers, overclockers, and system builders, is now also available via Epic Games Store.

Available in 3DMark Advanced and Professional Edition

UL Benchmarks has expanded 3DMark to include a set of dedicated CPU benchmarks, which shows the CPU performance scaling across a number of cores and threads and that allows gamers to check if their CPU is performing as expected, as well as giving overclockers a way to measure the performance gain.

Will push graphics cards to do some heavy ray tracing

UL Benchmarks has released a 3DMark test that is meant to measure pure ray-tracing performance, and while it is not a benchmark, and that means it won't produce a total score, it will still be interesting to compare frame rates on graphics cards.

Looks close and/or better than RTX 2080 Ti

With Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 scheduled to launch on October 29th, it comes as no surprise that we are now seeing some first leaks about the performance, aside from earlier Nvidia banchmarks. and judging from 3DMark scores, it could be close to the RTX 2080 Ti.

With significant clock increase

Both the revised Zen 2 Ryzen 9 3900XT and the Ryzen 7 3800XT have been spotted in the 3DMark database, confirming earlier rumors that we could see a significant boost in clocks for these new CPUs.

New X3 graphics beats Ryzen 7 4800U

Intel launched its 10th generation Core architecture on May 27, 2019, at Computex last year, and it is most likely aiming to launch a Tiger Lake successor in a similar time frame. Ice Lake U will get replaced by Tiger Lake U, and the first leaks suggest a base clock of 3GHz.

Up to 50 percent boost on RTX series

It was just a matter of time before UL Benchmarks' added DLSS support to its ray tracing 3DMark Port Royal benchmark, and according to Nvidia, it shows a possible 50 percent boost in performance on RTX series graphics cards.

First dedicated Ray Tracing benchmark

As announced earlier, UL Benchmarks has now officially launched its first dedicated ray tracing benchmark, the 3DMark Port Royal.
