Thanks to crypto-miners

AMD is slowly gaining ground on Nvidia thanks to its GPUs being more popular among crypto-miners.

One to have for PUBG, Final Fantasy XV, WoT and Warhammer: Vermintide 2

Nvidia has released its latest Geforce 391.01 Game Ready driver which it claims will provide optimal gaming experience in several new games as well as performance improvements to some games like Final Fantasy XV, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, and World of Tanks 1.0.

Not following AMD

While AMD is starting to make more products available to meet the demand for GPU cryptocurrency mining operations, Nvidia thinks that the craze will be flat soon.

With US $2.91 billion revenue

Nvidia has once again reported record financial results for Q4 FY2018, scoring big in most of its divisions and reporting quarterly revenues of  $2.91 billion, a significant rise compared to both the last quarter and the last year as well.

Crypto demand

We shouldn't  be surprised, but  GPU sales have skyrocketed over the last few quarters. Our colleagues from the press have criticized AMD for Radeon Vega, but AMD sold every single one. Once the market sucked all Radeons, it went for Geforce GTX 1060, 1070, 1080 so pretty much anything that can mine well.

Nvidia has released its latest Geforce 390.77 Game Ready driver which brings optimizations for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which launches on February 13th, as well as a couple of other games.

It was cute to see everyone covering the fact that Nvidia is up in arms against (r) etailers who are selling to miners. Unfortunately, there is hardly anything Nvidia can do to stop the trend.

It appears that Nvidia is preparing for a counter move to the recent cooperation between Intel and AMD, in the form of Max-Q versions of the GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti.
