Western Digital outs 750GB notebook Scorpio

Notebook storage for big boys
Western Digital today announced their latest and largest high performance drive in their Scorpio Black product line. The new Scorpio Black drive, WD7500BPKT, sports whopping 750 GB of storage, rusn at 7200 RPM and will fits in 2.5-inch SATA form factor.

Just like the other drives in Western Digital's Scorpio Black product line, the drive combines 7200 RPM spin speed with 16 MB cache to deliver high performance mobile computing.

Prices for the new 750GB model stand at $149.00 USD and it just began shipping in the U.S. to select resellers and distributors. Western Digital is backing the new drives with a five-year limited warranty.

it it has a platter, it's not destined for any new portable device I want to own...
