Intel is really enjoying the good performance of its Conroe
65nm based CPUs and it plans to launch a new Dual core E2220 CPU at 2.4GHZ.
It is a 200MHz faster version of currently available Dual
Core E2200 version clocked at 2.2GHZ and the new E2220 works at 2.4GHZ, has FSB
800, 1MB cache and two cores.
All E2xx0 series are crippled to 1MB cache while E4xxx
series CPUs have 2MB of cache. Both CPUs have a 65W TDP, but traditionally with these CPUs Intel
is way below that number.
The new CPU is expected in the second half of February, probably toward the end of the month.
