Those looking to make a mean compact gaming system or an HTPC based on AMD's latest Ryzen CPUs and AM4 platform do not have plenty of choices but with the latest Gigabyte GA-AB350N-Gaming WiFi AM4 motherboard, things are changing for the better.

While it might not be the best high-end AM4 motherboard on the market, the new Gigabyte GA-AB350N-Gaming WiFi certainly packs some interesting features into a compact 17x17cm mini-ITX form-factor.

Drawing power from a combination of 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors for the 6-phase VRM, the Gigabyte mini-ITX AM4 motherboard features two DDR4 DIMM slots will support for up to 32GB of DDR4-3200 memory, has single PCI-Express x16 reinforced slot (Ultra Durable PCIe Armor), four SATA 6Gbps ports, one M.2 socket 1 slot used for 802.11ac dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2 and one M.2 32Gbps Socket 3 (2260/2280 SATA and PCIe x4*/x2 SSD) slot on the back side of the board. It also has plenty of USB 3.0 as well as two 10Gbps USB 3.1 Type-A ports, Realtek's 7.1-channel audio with 120 dBA SNR codec and Realtek's Gigabit Ethernet.

Gigabyte also included some of its exclusive features like the Smart Fan 5 with five temperature sensors and two hybrid fan headers, its own UEFI BIOS and even the RGB Fusion feature, which gives its two light zones and two RGB and RGBW light strip headers, all controllable with Gigabyte's RGB Fusion App.

Currently, the Gigabyte GA-AB350N-Gaming WiFi is the third mini-ITX motherboard that was officially announced, next to Biostar's Racing B350GTN and the Racing X370GTN. ASRock is also expected to launch a mini-ITX AM4 motherboard soon. Unfortunately, Gigabyte did not reveal any details regarding the price but we expect it to show up soon with a price of around US $100.
