EVGA launches new X99 Micro2 motherboard

Upgraded with USB Type-C, new BIOS and more SATA ports

EVGA has launched its newest Intel X99 Express chipset based micro-ATX motherboard, the EVGA X99 Micro2.

Packing all the features from the original EVGA X99 Micro motherboard, the new micro-ATX motherboard comes with a few new upgraded features, including more SATA ports, USB 3.1 Type-C port as well as an improved design and new BIOS.

Based on a standard micro-ATX form-factor with 244x244mm dimensions, the EVGA X99 Micro2 motherboard packs a 6-phase VRM digital VRM, plenty of overclocking friendly features including on-board Power, Reset and Clear CMOS buttons, on-board CPU Temp Monitor and EVGA E-LEET X Tuning utility, audio isolation for 7.1-channel integrated audio, Intel Gigabit Ethernet, M.2 32Gbps slot and more.

When compared to the older EVGA X99 Micro motherboard, the new EVGA X99 Micro2 packs more SATA ports, for a total of 10 SATA 6Gbps ports, USB 3.1 Type-C port, in addition to six USB 3.0 and six USB 2.0 ports and the new GUI BIOS, which focuses on overclocking support, functionality and usability, according to EVGA.

The new EVGA X99 Micro2 mATX motherboard is already available in the US, directly from EVGA's webshop, with a price set at US $229.99.
