The MSI X79MA-GD45

Just like almost every motherboard manufacturer on the market, MSI has also revealed its full X79 lineup including the X79MA-GD45 micro ATX motherboard.

Based on the Intel X79 chipset with support for LGA2011 Sandy Bridge E CPUs, the X79MA-GD45 packs quite a punch despite its micro ATX format. The X79MA-GD45 has 9+2-phase VRM, has four DDR3 slots, one on each side of the CPU socket, two PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots and one PCI-Express x1 slot, two SATA 6.0Gbps and four SATA 3.0Gbps ports, and even some features that you wouldn't expect on such a small motherboard, like the Military Class III components, voltage measure points and OC Genie II.

The rest of the features include four USB 3.0 ports (two via header), bunch of USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and 7.1-channel audio.

All of these features should appeal to those that are looking to make a compact, LAN party like, gaming PC.
