MSI has officially unveiled its newest AMD 890FX-based motherboards, the 890FXA-GD70. Powered by RD890 and SB850 chips, the new motherboard supports AMD's AM3 processors and has all the features that we already seen on MSI's high-end motherboards.

As previously noted, the new motherboard features support for AMD's AM3 processors, features four DDR3-2133 memory slots, has a total of five PCI-Express x16 slots and goes full monty with six SATA 6.0Gbps (courtesy of SB850) and two USB 3.0 ports. The rest of the specs include single eSATA/USB combo port and one SATA 3.0Gbps port, a total of eleven "plain" USB 2.0 ports, one PCI-Express x1 and one PCI slot, Gigabit LAN, and 7.1-channel audio.

Other noted features include Military Class components like Hi-C CAPs, Solid CAPs, Icy Chokes, as well as MSI's OC Genie, DrMOS, Active Phase Switching and Winki, an instant-OS.

MSI was also keen on advertising the "Unlock CPU Core" feature for easy access to the hidden CPU Core with performance boost of over 104%.

Unfortunately, MSI didn't announce the price or the availability date but we guess that those will be revealed pretty soon.
