MSI P55-CD53 gets listed

After our story that Intel's P55 motherboards might end up cheap, or at least cheaper than X58 boards, another MSI motherboard has been listed. Until now, we knew about MSI P55-GD65 and P55-GD80 which should be mid range and high end P55 motherboards, and now we also have the MSI P55-CD53 which appears to be a low-end P55 motherboard with a price that starts at €106,22.

According to the currently listed details, the P55-CD53 motherboard has four DDR3 memory slots, single PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slot, three PCI-Express x1 and two plan PCI slots. It also comes with single Gigabit LAN, 7.1 audio and eight SATA II ports. The motherboard of course supports Intel's upcoming socket LGA 1156 processors.

Unfortunately, we doubt that this one will look anything like the GD65 or GD80, as this one will probably end up with a red or brown PCB and a lot less features than the two pricier models. On the other hand, the price tag of just over €100 sounds pretty appealing, and it will probably be even cheaper once they become available and more retailers start offering it.

You can find it listed here.
