Nvidia plans
to launch one more Nforce chipset for Intel Core 2 CPUs. It will soon announce Nforce 770i, which will basically be a cheaper version of its very expensive Nforce 790i chipset.

The limitations will be on overclocking and memory side, but at the same time you will get some cheaper DDR3 based motherboards with Nforce chipset and SLI support.

We are not sure if this is Nvidia’s last chipset for Intel CPUs, but something tells us that Nvidia is preparing a surprise when it comes to Nehalem. Nvidia told us a few days ago that they won’t get out of the chipset business and we don’t have any reasons not to believe them.
