AMD launched its 780G chipset back in march and it still holds the performance crown in this market. As Nvidia has Geforce 8200 and Intel has G45 AMD wanted to hit both IGP competitors while they are still down.

On last days of July AMD will launch AMD 790GX a new IGP with RV620 GPU integrated or should we say the performance of this IGP should be identical to discrete Radeon 3470 this time.

This GPU on Phenom 9850 can score 2000 in 3Dmark06, while Geforce 8200 on the same system scores around 1300. Intel G35 scores just over 700 points.

In Vantage AMD 790GX scores around 2500 points at default resolution while Geforce 8200 scores slightly under 2000 points. Intel G35 scores again around 700 points.

AMD is about to launch another IGP leader.
