Broadening product lines

According to an article over at ocworkbench.com, Abit won't quit the motherboard business after Intel's P45 chipset. The previous report of Abit quitting came from Digitimes.com.

According to Thore Welling, Universal Abit's Global Marketing Director, Abit has been able to considerably increase its market share over the past 12 months. Thore Welling continues that Abit is just broadening its product lines into the consumer electronics space of the market, and as he says, all will be revealed during Computex.

Some of the new products lines are said to include digital photo frames with a built-in printer and Abit is also meant to be looking at making MID devices.

We would hate if Digitimes sources are right, since Abit was once a great company capable of delivering high quality motherboards that enthusiasts appreciated. In any case, all should become clear during Computex.
