MSI's K9A2 Platinum board based on the RD790/AMD 790FX chipset will have support for SAS. SAS actually stands for Serial Attached SCSI and it is a faster and better way of transferring data today.

SAS is made for the mission critical market and usually finds its place in the server market, but MSI decided to bring this to the performance desktop market. It sounds cool, Phenom at 3GHz, at least overclocked, 4GB memory, 4 graphics cards in four PCIe slots, and finally, a few SAS drives.

This motherboard is also promised by some sources close to AMD as the best overclocker for Phenom CPUs. It will be worth waiting for this product which is scheduled for introduction in less than two weeks.
